wow the rangers must be trying to avoid the mavs woes by not trying to make it to the playoffs.

pretty bad year for dallas, all teams leave in 1st round of the playoff and the rangers well they always suck but they suck more than usual

I have absolutely no problem with Mark Cuban and, like cupcake mentioned, I like the fact that he's basically a "regular guy" that loves basketball and just happens to own a team.

It's not that I "hate" the Mavericks (or Spurs), I just really like the Rockets and, obviously, want them to do well. For them to do well in the post-season, both the Spurs and Mavericks need to lose.

Plus, since a plurality of Tech students are from the Metroplex, I really want to see them get all butt-hurt over getting bounced in the first round.

fair enough reason. I hate "dallas people" myself...

i was hoping the rockets could pull it off, but man it has been a disappointing postseason. Its hard to get excited for a warriors/jazz matchup. At least spurs/suns should be good

I dont have cable, so I was watching espn's gamecast online for the game.
What happened in the final 90 seconds or so?!
Could they not get a defensive rebound or what?

The fact that there could be a Utah/Spurs matchup in the Western Conference final makes me weep. Jeez, talk about boring as shit basketball.

I'd prefer that to hearing this city go on about the damn spurs for another year...

I swear i wouldn't mind so much if this city had just ONE other sports team. I can't watch my mavs here because they only have the one fucking team that they worship. I really didn't mind the spurs until i moved here...

Yeah to give you an idea... On the radio this morning they were flaming the Fire Chief of San Antonio for wearing a phoenix "band-aid" supporting the suns. Even though he lived in Phoenix for YEARS and was a personal FRIEND of the team.

-They basically compared phoenix fans to gays who should stay in the closet when in San Antonio... (im not making this up).

Can someone explain to me in a few sentences why the hell the Mavs did so poorly? Was Golden State just a bunch of late bloomers? Did everyone's tummies hurt? What the hell happened? We only lost like 15 games the whole damn season.

If you want a quick answer its basically that Golden state matched up the best against the mavs then any other team in the league. They had basically 5 players the same size (big but not huge... so athletic basically) and they out ran us.

Also we were playing our old coach so he was able to turn on what i like to call the "retard ray" which made our players MISS every open and easy shot.

If you want more than that i can't help you.
