 saw this while browsing /b/ on 4chan.... looks like some kind of homemade pocket electromagnet, but i wanted a second opinion. (I recently saw some device the size of a pack of cigs that creates a cellular "black hole", a [illegal] jammer, was wondering if this might be something more along those lines.... still pretty sure it's just a magnet, but the caps instead of batteries got me wondering) -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.

to me it looks like a transformer/rectifier. Isee diodes and assume its a half bridge rectifier.

i bet its just a damn home made "shake it to charge it" LED flashlight. with that long coil, and looks like a decent sized cap on there too.
