The American people won't allow something like this to occur, especially with how hard of a hit the American dollar would take in comparison to the other currencies.

it doesn't matter if the american people want it or not, it's being done through back-room meetings/agreements without votes from congress or the people

how exactly was cnbc admitting this? they simply had someone on the program who just happened to mention it. not like it was their idea. anyway i guess it could be something they're trying to do...hmm, but combining with mexico doesnt seem to make sense, as they're a lot poorer than we are. how would that help our economy? -------------------- ![]() |

I'm not doubting that this is being talked about in the least, but I'd just like to see more relevant data on the matter. It seems unlikely that the American public would support such a matter. Those in charge would most certainly have to garner public support for such a broad sweeping initiative. This post has been edited by Psykopath: Apr 28 2007, 07:40 PM -------------------- |

I can see more of economic union being formed MINUS America's inclusion in a common currency, just as Britain does not use the Euro. -------------------- |

It was easy to institute the EU because the countries over there sit right on top of each other and all have relatively similar economic status. If they did do something like this over in our area, Im sure the economists setting it up would take into account the poverty level of Mexico. Much like how we have a metal and paper system...metal being the cheap stuff and paper being the higher value, so will this system have this. The "pennies" will go to the Mexicans. hah

The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?
