The American people won't allow something like this to occur, especially with how hard of a hit the American dollar would take in comparison to the other currencies.

I'm not doubting that this is being talked about in the least, but I'd just like to see more relevant data on the matter. It seems unlikely that the American public would support such a matter. It was easy to institute the EU because the countries over there sit right on top of each other and all have relatively similar economic status. If they did do something like this over in our area, Im sure the economists setting it up would take into account the poverty level of Mexico. Much like how we have a metal and paper system...metal being the cheap stuff and paper being the higher value, so will this system have this. The "pennies" will go to the Mexicans. hah
