Yea seriously. Just because your friend got shot with a 45 and lived doesn't mean the 9mm is a round that won't kill you. Normally 1 45 will kill you, that's why you get them to kill someone in one shot. I think you were missing my point. I wasn't saying the 9mm isn't dangerous, or doesn't kill. WHat i was saying is that i was surpised that he was able to kill THIRTY people with the shitty rounds. Columbine: TWO kids with rifles and bombs killed 11 kids and a teacher UT sniper Whitman: Ex-marine, hit about as many people as this kid with RIFLE rounds, center mass, and not counting his wife and mother, (and a point blank shotgun blast to the tower secretary) killed only 13 people with rifle rounds hiting almost every person in the chest.... and that was 40 years ago (medicine-wise) (oh and don't forget one of those kills was an unborn child too) What i was trying to say is that its surprising to me that a kid with two SMALL pistol types killed SO MANY PEOPLE, when people with more fire power in the past couldn't rack up such a number. Oh and my friend wasn't wearing armor, he was actually saved by being a larger guy and that kept him from bleeding out too much. He actually driving when he got shot and still managed to drive a couple miles to a gas station, walked in, said "ive been shot" and collapsed. Lost more blood than they say you can before death, but they put him back together and he walked out of hospital shortly later. -------------------- |

I read those two stories of his. wow...at the risk of understatement, he's a really terrible writer. obviously he has issues, but I've written on more disturbing subject matter. hell tech published a short story where I wasted a guy. but this guy sucks ass! fuckin' nauseating. what bothers me about this dipstick is that now creative writing will be under more scrutiny for disturbing subject matter... and the author will have to deal with "the system's" pseudo-freudian analysis... fuckin lame-o why couldn't he have been an accounting student? I agree, the plays were extremely boring. -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

I've read some TTU history papers, and I'm surprised that they're even in college with their writing skills, even though they've lived here their entire lives. -------------------- Beers that I have had, updated July 5th, 2009: 1,548

ok, there are two different theories circulating on all the blogs, one is he's referring to ishmael (sometimes spelled ismael) and abraham... another is a reference to james fennimore cooper's "the prairie"

ISmail is a mail server. That's what first crossed my mind when I saw it. I doubt we'll ever know though.

I won't get into the religious side of things simply because I don't think it matters what this kid was thinking, and I doubt we'll ever really know for sure. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

Why would it be a reference to Abraham? I won't get into the religious side of things simply because I don't think it matters what this kid was thinking, and I doubt we'll ever really know for sure. QUOTE Cho indicated in his letter that the end was near and that there was a deed to be done, the official said. He also expressed disappointment in his own religion, and made several references to Christianity, the official said. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070418/ap_on_...a_tech_shooting Actually, it very well could be in reference to Abraham's son. Apparently, he wrote about religion in the letter found in his dorm room. The more I read about this kid, the more he creeps me out. |

then there was all this shit about how he stalked girls, took pictures of people in class under his desk, and even had had the cops called on him. He was under review for psychological shit, and even stayed a couple of nights in some place to be reviewed....
yet nothing popped up when he bought his gun. If you have mental instabilities and the police have been called on you, you shoudnt be able to get a gun that easily. -------------------- bored...so i did this

One teacher at VT had him removed from her class roster. She told the school that if they left him in there, she would quit. After that, they assigned him a tutor and the tutor set up a code word for the police to be called just incase because she was frightened of him as well, although she never had to use it. People in his classes joked around that he was going to come in and shoot everyone. Guess that wasnt much of a joke.
