I have a couple of friends at VT who are e-mailing information out as they get it. One said at the time of the first shooting they were looking for an Asian man. I read some unconfirmed reports that he was using 2 9mm handguns. So the machine gun issue wouldn't even figure in here.

On SA there was a guy who's brother was in one of the classrooms that was shot up. He said the gunman walked in and started shooting. His brother and one other guy were the only people in that room not to get shot. They ran to the door when he left and held it shut and the guy came back and shot through the door.

walked into my last class and my friends were talking about this. crazy but i dont see security lines or metal dectetors on college campuses in the future. more campus police and publicize campus toll numbers to report crimes, suspecions

it would be nearly impossible for them to put metal detectors on campuses. Too many doors to too many buildings. I dont see that happening. Obviously, Virginia Tech needs to step up their security. Kinda seems odd to me that he shoots someone in the dorms and then opens fires across campus. Shouldnt the school have been evacuating already? I dont know. Just some random thoughts as usual.

They locked down the campus and in those two hours the gunman made his way from one side of campus to the other. Just some random thoughts as usual. no it seemed odd to me that there was a shooting at 8am, and the others were 2 hours later. you'd think they would have put the campus on lockdown after the first shooting...but we're just speculating and armchair QBing right now... |
