Ok, I'm an idiot when it comes to Linux.

I'm trying to get Knoppix (the one that you burn onto a CD and boot from) running on my bf's computer. The problem is that his computer doesn't have an ethernet card. It only has a wireless card. Apparently, this causes XWindows not to boot. Now, even if I find the drivers, how am I going to get them on the CD so it will boot (the disc image is just an ISO file)?

I think there's the same problem with the wireless keyboard and mouse as I get an error on those when I start up too.

try using ubuntu. the installation cd is a livecd, and it has more support for wireless cards. plus it's gnome-centric.

Yes, there's a floppy... I'd forgotten that drive even existed. :-P I'm working on downloading xubuntu right now (It's for a computer that's old and doesn't have much RAM).

Anyway, another question. What Linux distro that runs off of a Live CD is the best for a person who doesn't have much knowledge with Linux?
