Does anyone know of a local (within around 100 miles) dealership, or person that might be selling
a 3rd generation camaro? Preferably an IROC or Z28. Doesn't have to be in the best shape, just needs to be a mostly complete car. Looking for a fairly inexpensive project car. Thanks in advance for any info -------------------- ![]() |

There is a car place over by Best Buy that sells camaros and stuff. I dont know the exact street it is on, but I can tell you how to get there.
Take the loop until you get to the exit for best buy (i think its the actual spur that get you get on). Anyways, at the first light which is Frankford, turn right. There is a gas station, and a used car place. Then you are going to make another right (I think its 58th or 53rd street that you turn right on.) Basically, its a way to get into the back parking lot of best buy. When you turn on that street, there is a car place there. I dont know pricing and shit, but they have vettes, camaros, ta's, old mustangs and chevelles, etc |

Yeah, but that place usually only sells restored ones or ones that have been garaged for YEARS.
I was looking at an 87 Trans Am they had there for awhile and they wanted like $8500 for it because it'd had all the body and interior work re-done as well as a slightly built up 305 ... they try not to sell the junkers there. How much money are you wanting to spend on it? If you want a really nice one go there at least ... -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

Yeah I think you guys are referring to Classic Motors (www.texascorvette.net)
They have some really nice vehicles there for sure, most of them restored by Jason Hill of Hills Hot Rods here in lubbock. As for me, I'm not looking for something that nice, I'm planning on hopefully making it that nice myself, so my budget is like 3000-3500 -------------------- ![]() |

try and stay away from the 305 if you can... it's decent but prob not what you'd want in a project car

will do.
I actually have an 80 Z28 thats getting restored, and then i'm going to sell it as soon as its done. So far, its got a full hotchkis suspension setup on it, edelbrock shocks all the way around, all new body bushings from energy suspension, its been lowered due to the suspension system, so it sits about at about a corvettes stance. I'm taking pics as the work progresses, and as soon as its all done, i'll post all pics and stuff and see if anyone wants to buy it -------------------- ![]() |

Why is it that when I read the title to this thread I immediately thought "IROC or Z28?" I think it's just because Michael Knight made that car the coolest thing on planet earth.
