Though I do not agree in which the way Jessica argues her point, I do agree that the theory of evolution and the theory of creationism are mutually exclusive.

Creationism is not a scientific theory. Some people must think they are compatible, since my uncle is a catholic and also believes in evolution.

I feel people follow a religion more to be part of the "club" than because they actually believe. How many christians have read the bible? Who knows, but we all know there are atleast a few who haven't. And how can you believe in something in which you do not know exactly what it is you're believing in?

No, it is a belief. Christians do not call it theory. "THE BIBLE IT THE WAY AND THE TRUTH!!!!!" The definition of theory is belief. (the 9th entry claims belief is synonymous with theory) post count ++ It doesn't really matter. -------------------- ![]() |

I agree. Most Christian's are not really "Christian". However that does not make creationism a theory and I hope that most Christians have at least read the first book of the bible. Official Christian dogma perhaps? In order for something to be a theory it has to have the ability to be falsified. You can't technically falsify the existence of god nor that he "created" all living things according to literal interpretation of the bible (since creationism does not put itself up to/dismisses any sort of actual scientific scrutiny ) .

The definition of theory is belief. (the 9th entry claims belief is synonymous with theory) post count ++ It doesn't really matter. semantics. I just refuse to even give it the title of theory because that would put it on the same pedestal as credible scientific theories. -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. I actually think most people believe in religions because they're afraid.

Most people believe in religion not because of the fear of hell. It is because the of the fear of death.
