Jessica I don't think you understand
Evolution DOES NOT explain how life originated/ (was) created. And since when would seven days to god equal the days of men? If this god is an immortal, everlasting, omnipotent and eternal being, I would assume that a day could be anywhere from 1 billion years to a nano second. Let me ask another question, do you take every word in the bible literally? -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

there is proof of dinosaurs => creationism cant be true
but i do enjoy the christian argument for the explanation of them i need to dig up that article about it again. i forgot what they called them but it was hilarious evolution does explane how things were created if you mean everything came from the ocean and elements forming compounds. i guess you mean what started that? mutation. thats explained in evolution -------------------- Little monkeys making money

I believe dinosaurs would be the behemoth's that are mentioned in the bible. -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? Scientist were able to create life using what they believed were the conditions of the ocean of the time life originated. With a little Iron, carbon, salt water, and zapping it with electricity, microorganisms were created. From these microorganisms and the fossil record they have put together, there is a very strong case for evolution. Because of this incredibly strong case for evolution, it is allowed to be taught in school. While the baseless beliefs of the bible are not. Because in reality, evolution is probably fact, while the bible is most certainly fiction.
You know, maybe in a few hundred years, everyone will look back on us and laugh about our silly Christian mythology that we all followed. -------------------- ![]() |

Can you give a source for the creation of life in a laboratory? last I heard they had attempted to create life in a laboratory but could not.
Edit: Or did not attempt because of possible "ethical" reasons This post has been edited by Dr. Gonzo: Mar 30 2007, 07:09 PM -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. Still waiting
From what little research I have been doing, it appears as though scientists have not created life in the lab but are very close to doing so. -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. they know how it was created
the 4 elements that are essential to human development and brain Ca, Na, K, Cl - its not by happenstance that these are 4 elements most abundant in the earths oceans. evolution uses what is most about around to develope life. you cant have movement, thought, growth, action, or a brain without those 4. you cant ever prove anything in science but that a whole shit ton of support for evolution the creation of life took forever you cant replicate evolution in a lab in a human lifespan -------------------- Little monkeys making money

Yeah sure
The real question is HOW did these chemicals come together to form life. Did an asteroid containing life hit the planet? Did a chemical reaction occur that fused them together? Or did god will them into existence? In order for life to evolve, it must first come into being. Scientists can create genes and they can even create viruses (which are not living) but have failed to actually create living microbes.
