Yeah, I kind of figured who the bogey was when they showed it... but that didn't keep me from going "HOLY SHIT" when they showed who it was.
Another thing, why the hell did those four have "All Along the Watchtower" in their heads? That's weird as shit. |

I am kind of pissed that was the finale (nothing really... happened), and the whole waiting until '08.
This season was better than the 2nd... or 1.5... or whatever the hell it was. Every episode had a good story to it AND moved the plot along. Meh, its a decent series... hasn't put me off watching it so far so i'll stick to it. Im really just looking forward to final season of sg1, and next season of atlantis. -------------------- |

By the way, there's a two-hour, stand-alone BSG TV movie coming our way... I'm not sure if it's going to come before or after the fourth season, but it's going to be about the Pegasus.
Also, the fourth season will consist of anywhere from 20 to 22 episodes and will likely be the final season of the series. |

Well i figured that with every person being a cylon, the president getting cancer again to die before reaching earth, and the whole "im gonna show you earth" thing. -------------------- |

22 episodes, meaning 20 episodes with the first and last being 2 hours, and no, it doesn't mean it's going to be the last season, scifi only bought one season this time. It's their most popular show, I don't think they're going to cancel it until the 5th season at least.
as for all along the watchtower, i thought it was bitchin. I heard someone speculate that they're picking up transmissions from earth (they did something along the same lines in the original series), but by the same token, ron moore has pretty much completely seperated from the original series this season. the last real link was the pegasus's sacrifice. as for starbuck's return, meh, totally saw that coming, but it was still nifty. i also liked how Ty started acting more like an officer than ever before once he realized the "truth"... like he's all "fuck this shit imma be me" in his head and stuffs. final thoughts: "All Along In The Watchtower" + Viper scramble = totally badass piece of directing and stuffs. Definitely my favorite part, although Lee's speech was pretty damn good too. -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.

From what I've read (http://www.mania.com/53772.html), the general consensus was that SciFi would only order 22 episodes for the fourth season - in contrast to the 13 that were already guaranteed - if they wanted to give the show the opportunity to wrap up.
And per an article I read on AICN, the TV movie is going to air during the fourth quarter of 2007. I'll actually be kind of glad if the fourth season is the last, because I'd much rather BSG end while it's still on top. In contrast to Lost, which ABC is probably going to drag out for a decade. |

The original was the famous commander of the pegasus (which this series would have killed off already)taking out 2 base stars (point blank) in order to get baltar in a third base ship (because baltar was commanding the base ship) and let galactica do something else important. Oh and wish there was an episode like the orginal were starbuck crashed on a planet with a cylon, rebuilt the cylon, they became friends, starbuck knocked up a mystery woman. Other cylons came, friendly cylon died protecting starbuck, while the mystery woman took starbuck's baby to galactica... was trippy. -------------------- |

If you want a really cool story idea, check out the BSG comics. Apparently they came across some old, antebellum cylons (ie, from the original series) that hadn't been corrupted and were still loyal to humans, so they start using the old cylons to fight the new ones. It's actually a great story device, tying both series together in some sort of way.
Only problem with doing it in the new series is that the old cylons look seriously corny. Only reason they showed one (deactivated and in a museum) in the mini-series was as a throwback to fans. -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.
