QUOTE ntelligent teenagers often listen to heavy metal music to cope with the pressures associated with being talented, according to research. The results of a study of more than 1,000 of the brightest five per cent of young people will come as relief to parents whose offspring, usually long-haired, are devotees of Iron Maiden, AC/DC and their musical descendants. That must mean I'm like super fucking ultra mega gifted or something cuz I listen to shit WAAAAAAAAAAAAY the fuck more heavy than AC/DC and Iron Maiden this rules -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

I would think any kid growing up now who listens to Iron Maiden is probably a redneck or half dead in the brain.

Pfft, for years I've discussed that the complex time changes and chords used in technical bands is really above the average mouth breather. But noooooOoOOoOo People think just because somebody is growling or screaming, there is no possible chance of true creativity and impressive execution !

But noooooOoOOoOo People think just because somebody is growling or screaming, there is no possible chance of true creativity and impressive execution ! A lot of the music is awesome But I can't stand constant screaming throughout the duration of a song -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

Akimbo was white noise to me when they hit hard, but sounded good when they weren't going balls to the wall. -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!

I don't really get into heavy metal too much. I like some stuff like system of a down, but generally I don't like being yelled at and I don't like heavy, distorted chords.

There is an awful lot of good metal out there, not mainstream metal, that honestly reminds me more of a concerto by mozart or something the way the song structures are ... it's pretty cool shit. and it's not necessarily just black metal, there's some thrash bands I kinda hear this with too, but then again I could drink too much. i dunno. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!
