today, Obama actually defended McCain when Mccain misspoke about saying lives were "wasted" instead of "sacrificed" in the Iraq war. they both seem to be pretty level-headed/moderate and cool guys. Some people are saying that America isn't ready for a black president. according to (CNN i think) a poll the other day, more whites are ready for a black president than blacks are. So, I have this little hope that McCain and Obama kindle this friendship, and actually go on the same ticket. Since the question of having a black president is being thrown around, put him as VP with McCain and that should work out fine. Another question is Obama's experience, which would help build that for a future election. It gets America used to a minority in a huge role, and would definitely help him if he decided to run for Pres later. Also, when's the last time the Pres/VP were in different parties? It would be awesome. I like them both. that's cause obama made the same "mistake" not too long ago so he had to defend him if not, he'd be an idiot -------------------- |

mccain is a member of the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations) which means he's in bed with the neo-cons and the new world order
if you vote for mccain you're just throwing your vote away to more of the same bushian politics... destruction of your civil rights, destruction of the right to privacy, open borders, unenforced immigration laws, and the security/prospertiy agreement with canada and mexcio a.k.a. the north american union the only candidate that actually believes in american values and supports the constitution is Ron Paul (congressman from Texas) |

giuliani had or still has massive mob ties...
not only that but when he was mayor of new york...homeless people started to disappear in mass numbers We need to stop letting these elite families run our country. I'm tired of all of our lives being in the hands of a select group of rich mother fuckers who control all aspects of our military and economy. OF THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE GOD DAMMIT -------------------- "Ah, y'know it's funny, these people they go to sleep, they think everything's fine, everything's good. They wake up the next day and they're on fire."

Apathy does rule
Elite families have always run this country That is the way of the world, your votes do not matter -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

No,
Capitalism and comfort reinforce this mindset Note: Paradoxically, I still vote This post has been edited by Dr. Gonzo: Mar 3 2007, 03:24 PM -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. No, Capitalism and comfort reinforce this mindset Note: Paradoxically, I still vote Time has proven Communism/pure-Socialism as a horribly ineffective means of governance. Capitalism and 'comfort' don't breed apathy. Capitalism allows for a more free market with the benefit of choice. Comfort allows for modern conveniences that make lives more enjoyable. BTW: We're talking voting and apathy towards governance and such. Your problem may lie in Democracy (a governmental system) for this case, not Capitalism (an economic system). One, we are not a true democracy
Two, I know that capitalism is an economic system (seriously zach, come on) Three, when did I mention socialism ASSUMPTIONS My problem does not lie with democracy per se. The real problem is the electoral system under which our "democracy" operates. This post has been edited by Dr. Gonzo: Mar 3 2007, 08:18 PM -------------------- A psychotic world we live in.
