I really feel businesses should not be punished for the faults of their employees. I think the only one who should be sued is the employee. And instead of monetary damages, the employee should get a prison sentence for the harm they caused.

Currently, for engineers who sign off on projects, if their project harms someone they will end up losing their license and often times spend time in prison. I think it should work similiary for everyone. If some dumbshit doesn't cook your food because they're apathetic retards, they should face a deeper consequence than losing their job if their incredibly negligent work causes harm on someone. Perhaps the company should have to pay some sort of compensations, but nothing really happens to the cook. They just get a job somewhere else. I remember reading somewhere that some reports of people receiving foodborne illnesses from rather clean restaurants was false. It was actually determined that most of the cases were the people's own negligence at home. Living in an unclean environment and contracting it in that manner.
