So I have reasons to believe that there may be some activity under my credit without my authorization. I have had my identity stolen before, and I think it may be related to this. I used freecreditreport.com twice before. The first time, they had three choices of credit agencies to chose from to get the report. This time went just fine. The second time, all they had was experian. Experian fucked me. I dont want to use them again. Any other places I can go to view my credit report?

don't use freecreditreport.com, it's a scam
the government suggested site is www.annualcreditreport.com, it's the one that allows the free, once a year report from each agency. you have to pay like 5 bucks for the credit score from each, as well. you can't really choose who fucks you, and it's not really their choice, either. it just depends on whom your creditors are specifically reporting to and whether or not you are flagged for anything. they all (should) have your information. |

it's only a scam if you don't cancel your one month free membership.
how can it be a scam if you use it for free, then cancel it? |

i just had a problem where I never got the password in the mail (which is how they do it now) so i never got the login information to view the credit report or cancel. I kept calling them to tell them I never got it and they kept charging my card. I went to my credit card to dispute the charges and they wouldnt let me. Finally, I cussed some Indian bitch from Experian out over the phone and I got my money back.

what kind of memberships are you guys signing up for? I checked mine using annualcreditreport.com. the history is free, but if you want to see your score, you have to pay. I paid to see my score once, but then it seemed useless because they give you VantageScore and not your FICO score.

my credit report is all jacked up
i had credit shit on there that was opened before i was born from my grandfather (same name as me) and they bitched about taking it off. even though the account was paid off & hadn't been used since 1967 then i had someone open a telephone line in el paso and ran the bill up to $900. i called & said i didn't live in EP during the time. 1 creditor was cool & got it yanked off, the others 2 didn't and basically said, you name, your number, your problem. there's also 2 credit cards i never took out with a balance total of about 3500. the creditors basically tell me this "prove you didn't take out the credit cards" i asked them how i could do this and they didn't know. so i'm fucked in that aspect cause i can't prove i didn't take out a credit card. i hate how the gov't says check your credit report for fraud & stolen identity but doesn't pressure the credit agencies to do shit about it. -------------------- |

i honestly don't know how i was able to buy a house.
anyway, i called them up and requested it & waited. After about 3 weeks, 1 credit agency called me back and they said they'd clear the phone bill, about a week later the others said it's staying. as far as the 2 credit cards, all 3 said tough shit basically -------------------- |
