Maybe I am biased and this is a case of "seeing what I want to see", but it seems to me that if mexicans, asians, etc (anyone not white) make fun of black people, nothing comes of it, but if white people do it, it becomes a big issue.

there was a controversy the EXACT SAME (in fact the pictures and the way the story broke - facebook - are identical) at some college near DFW a few months ago. (not MLK day, but same idea)
