QUOTE
RIPON, Calif. — For nearly a decade, members of Ripon's First Congregational Church bared their souls to Pastor Randall Radic. But clearly it didn't work both ways. There were certain things he wasn't telling them.

That became obvious a year ago, when Radic pleaded guilty to betraying his flock and secretly selling the church and its rectory out from under them. He used the money to buy himself a brand-new black BMW and a laptop — exploits he later chronicled in a cheeky, almost gleeful blog about his double life as a sinner.

Wow... and it probably would have worked had he not been an idiot and bought a BMW. He could have just slipped away never to be heard from again.

that guy's just another scumbag, but it doesn't seem that odd considering every preacher at the big protestant churches in lubbock drives a caddy or lincoln. apparently people don't have a problem with that.

although, a lot of churches sell stakes in themselves to raise new money or eliminate debt. conflict of interest, much?

the catholic church sold some stuff, including schools, to pay the pedo debt. bishop lynch high school in dallas is owned by some company that buys schools in texas/california/florida

i only find it odd when it's paid for with money that was donated to help the less fortunate.

what are you talking about?

money that is donated at church goes to help run the church, which includes paying the staff. and old people drive caddys and lincolns because they live in houses that are paid off and have no other bills.

Lol, Betraying his Flock, is that an actual charge like Assault and Battery? I love how the word "flock" can be used to describe a church congregation and congregation of sheep.
