QUOTE Just join one of those Pro-Texas militias. LOL I went to the mesquite gunshow this weekend to pick up a holster, and several groups had booths set up. (I didn't know there was more than one, but apparently there's veterans for texas, texas minute men, etc). talk about some brokedicks. one had a bumper sticker that said "health care for veterans, not illegal aliens" I mean...if you have a nonpunitive discharge, vets have access to the VA. I didn't get that sticker at all. And the guys at the booths were these bitter old fat men wearing matching vests (snappy!) who looked like the kind of guys that would call the cops on me for skating down down their sidewalk. I actually stopped and talked to them about their SOPs and whatnot. They walkie talkie activity in. awesome line of defense! I'm all for protection of the borders and legal access into the US, but these guys are a joke. |

a pro-texas miliia is not hardcore enough for me unless i get to wear a gas mask to one of their 3-day parties, and initiation requires i skin and gut a live rabbit with my bare hands...

learn some shooting skills that actually apply, not this whole "aim, take deep breath, exhale and fire" crap. i mean seriously, when are you gonna use that other than during an execution? I wanted to address this real quick...I understand what you're saying...however I would be hesistant to completely discredit static target shooting as a skillset builder. in that it instills in you the BRASS discipline that is critical even under duress. I think with plenty of static range time...then crossing over into a more dynamic shoot-move scenerio is a very natural progression. I'll tell you right now mil, LEO, and security contractors do a lot of both. the static gives you a chance to wire your core fundamentals. |

rustic range yea, it's not bad at all. you get to bring just about any gun you want and shoot it there. saw a guy with one of those armor piercing 50 cal rifles there. that thing was fuck off huge, looked like it was shooting glass coke bottles out if it. heh yeah i like rustic too, just sucks that it's way out there and obviously closes at dusk |

that IS a nice looking gun, but sad to say, i've never heard of Para, i think I've heard of Para...I've read some generally good reviews. BTW: I've got my Taurus 65 .357 Magnum. That is one bad ass gun...now I just need to fire it. =P Going to pick up some .38 and .357 rounds soon and go out to the range with Brandon. We'll post when we're going so that others can go if they wish. -------------------- |
