I wonder if it's a class 3? worth lookin into. Man, I do to. I don't want to suddenly be out $1,000. -------------------- |

dude I'd bet there is someone in the LBK that rents guns. And usually if you have no prior experience they will give you a short 10 minute class. I am a member at DFW guns and they do that all the time. Actually I know of such a place, I have not made it out there yet... -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

when zach gets his 357 in, we are gonna hit the range pretty regularly. if you wanna swing along that'd be cool. at patriot, i believe gun rental of your choice was around $7, then you buy ammo (box of 50 .40 cal for $12) and renting a lane is about $7 it can be expensive unless you own a firearm, or bring your own ammo. usually i offer to share a lane and my gun with a friend if they buy their own ammo.

gah i wish patriot hadn't been such pricks. they're the only indoor range in town yea, the guy is a serious asshole, and he's almost as bad as those "get a mac" people with his damn glocks. seriously, i think that guy jerks off to those things or something. if i knew anybody who lived outside town, or of a place where i could just get drunk and shoot at beer bottles without having to drive to plainview, i'd do that instead. -------------------- |

nothing lamer than the militant glock-only crowd. very astute analogy between them and mac people.
I contend with it often. tell them save their tupperware schpeel for someone who gives a rat's ass. that patriot guy is probably some old dickhead who is tired of damn college kids. is he seriously the only range in town? that guy needs some competition. if you're paying HIM for his services, he needs to cheer up buttercup and get over himself. I wonder what all is involved in opening a range? I mean the permits and whatnot. I'd love to open up a rad one and have sessions on practical applications (weak side, shoot, move, rifle to pistol, etc). I bet civilians would be interested in that kind of crap. normal indoors are pretty static. |

the range that's out by slaton is probably a better idea...that place is pretty cool and it's outdoors with 3 different ranges...
targets, pingers, and skeet the target section is obviously supervised as there are some crazy ass weapons being fired there the pingers aren't supervised but you have to go out there and set them back up yourself oh and you can't rent a gun there so bring your own or borrow a friends! -------------------- "Ah, y'know it's funny, these people they go to sleep, they think everything's fine, everything's good.
