Well, when stuff is not reported by the major news carriers it is hard to believe.

The distance from Tel Aviv (where there is a F-16 base) to Tehran is 993 miles. So round trip, it's ~1900 miles. (Jerusalem is even closer) The range of a fully loaded F-16 (old model) without drop tanks is 2,425 miles.
