i have a ridiculous problem with junk mail. i get upwards of 300 junk mail messages a day.
i use IMAP email and am using thunderbird as software.
is there some sort of extension that i can download to catch junk mail. or another piece of software.
i've tried several fixes already and nothing seems to work very well.

stop posting your email everywhere and using your real address to sign up for everything.

I use a gmail account forwarded to my real account for most things online, so if i get tired of the gmail's spam, i just switch to a new gmail account, and have it go to the same pop3 account.

i have a gmail address i use to sign up for retarded stuff. the account that i get spam at has never seen the light of day except to give out to people i know, and displayed on my web page (where it's probably been picked up by spam robots)

and gmail's spam catcher is awesome. i wish there was someway to use it in thunderbird
