man. the power glove sucked.
it was even with a game that sounds like it would be perfect for the power glove, super glove ball, it still sucked. now if they remade it for the wii, thats a whole different story. and im sure someone is working on modding their power glove for the wii as we speak. in fact... here is an attempt concept art

"I love the power glove... it's so bad"
oh, which reminds me of another one, the word "bad" = nowadays "cool" |

reading encyclopedias instead of the internet.
riding a burton mystery air in wolf creek because none of the mtns in new mexico allowed snowsurfing. hosoi hammerheads buying music and clothes out of the back of newsprint Thrashers, because there was literally nowhere else to get it. waiting 6-8 weeks for delivery once the check was mailed. the shirts never being the color you specified, but instead of sending it back and taking another 8 weeks, you just dealt with that yellow lance mountain shirt. M.A.S.K. cartoon and toys...those were so kickass. Danzig being a hero and not a douche. |

M.A.S.K. ???
-------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

I bet Cupcake is one of the very few who actually REMEMBER details about the 80s, and not stuff from ~87 on.
In all reality, a 90s thread is more applicable. We all remember things here and there from when we were tiny, but you gotta be a little older to truly have some good memories of a decade I'd think. I had a few of the toys...the Rhino (which was a semi...that was the raddest), then the camaro that turned into a jet...and some other crap I can't even visualize.
my little brother got the gas station/mountain/headquarters for xmas and I was so frickin jealous! which is totally pety and silly, considering we shared a room and played together...fuckin kids. |
