f'n word and that imho is a huge problem It is a problem, then again you don't want the U.N. to be too powerful. *cough World Government cough* -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

Wait, So even though the war is wrong and grounded on retarded motives we should not bitch about it? It is our duty as American citizens to criticize our government. We should not sit back and just allow this injustice to continue. After all, I don't want my tax dollars going to fight a war that can not be won. i'm sure the government appreciates the $23 that a part-time college kid pays them every week. that, and that alone, is what funds this war, right? the people that pay 35% of their paycheck to the fed might have a little more room to complain. and all you're doing is sitting back and allowing it to happen. there's a huge difference between bitching about it on an internet forum and actually doing something that would create change. but hey, i guess apathy and lethargy is the future of this country. |

First off, I work full time jack ass
Secondly, I did vote in the last election. so it is not like I did not do anything at all other then "complain" as you put it. In case you did not realize, this is a forum. I don't see any problem with voicing my opinions on this forum. Seeing as I work nearly 37 hours a week and taking 17 hours, I don't have time to go to D.C. and protest in front of the white house while setting myself on fire. Thirdly, I love you man This post has been edited by Dr. Gonzo: Jan 15 2007, 03:52 PM -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Thirdly, I love you man oh, so assuming you're paid every other week, the government takes what, $50 out of every paycheck? that's a pretty small price to pay, on top of all the other things americans are able to do, to have the freedom to stand up and make changes. but you're too busy, so........... let somebody else do it? you feel strongly enough to let everyone know that the war sucks, but have not, and will not take a stand? and what would setting yourself on fire accomplish? that's just another loser hippie cop-out and a chance to make the nightly news. didn't vote, huh? sounds like you're really looking for changes ("derrr, the two party system doesn't work" and hey, since you are the only person who has ever taken more credit hours than required and worked almost full-time, calling me a jackass is totally cool. i love you, too |

Actually he said he DID vote.
But the whole argument about not voting means you have no reason to complain is completely shit. This is under the assumptions that you A) support one of the few candidates or Voting against somebody as your main inspiration is weaksauce. -------------------- QUOTE (Lance) now we have some dude from argentina wondering how to fuck dogmeat |

So I don't put much into the tax system. Then again, I don't make very much. -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? If you don't want either candidate then don't vote. Then you have a right to complain because you did not want either candidate. -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. I think that is what it comes down to for most people, but I really hate that from an idealogical view. How can you [general sense] have passion for your political leader choices if you don't support them, as much as you un-support some other dude ?
I know this is a perfect world scenario where you could find a candidate that truly represents everything you believe - but I think people in general don't have enough expectations out of their candidates. In the end, politics is for jews. jews. jews. jews. jaws. jews. jews .jews. -------------------- QUOTE (Lance) now we have some dude from argentina wondering how to fuck dogmeat |

Then again, when you only have two viable choices, there is not much choice

I think we're all forgetting that conflict is a part of that region's culture. They don't have anything else to do but pick up a gun and start shooting. Consider the Middle East the compton of the eastern hemisphere. Gangs and violence and hatin on the man.
