I fucking hate Michael Moore. How exactly do I sound like him? I could retort by saying you sound like a Nazi bitch... Some of what you said has also been stated by Michael Moore. Second off, I may dislike most Arabs but that does not make me a Nazi bitch. 1) I respect Jewish people and am all for preserving their history. The Holocaust was in my opinoin the most tragic event in modern history....modern being anything after 1000 AD. In fact, I would venture to say it was the most tragic period ever. 2) My brother is handicap so there goes me hating disabled people 3) My aunt used to be a prostitute so there goes me hating hookers.... errr 4) Gay people are weird, but so am I so whatever Lets see....who else did Hitler hate? You need to learn to think before you type.... |

It does not matter if they were said by Mr. Moore or not, it is the truth. You can't seriously hold on to any notion that this war makes sense. Come on admit it. I understand if you support the war now that we are engaged in it, but for all that is good and true in this world you have to admit that there were not really any good reasons to invade Iraq. Hell, at least be honest about why you invaded Iraq. Where are the WMD'S? Where are the connections to Osama Bin Laden? Where is this safer, democratic, stable nation that bush promised to us over 3 YEARS ago? I thought Bush was telling the truth when he said that the mission in Iraq was "accomplished". Let me be truthful with all of you. In 2003, I was a different person then I am today. I was a 'republican'. I supported the president and the war in Iraq like many Americans did after September 11th. Something changed, as i realized that this war was complete bullshit. I am not telling you to accept everything I say to be absolute gold. I have my own opinions just like anyone else. Me calling you a "nazi bitch" has nothing to do with you being a nazi in terms of hating Jews (I did not call you Hitler: Hitler is a nazi, but not all nazis are Hitler), instead it has to with the whole semi fascist attitude of this administration which includes: The manipulation of the media, spin jargon, propaganda, uber patriotism, surveillance of the civilian population w/o a warrant... This country is rapidly following a dangerous path which threatens to damage the democracy, prosperity, and lives that we all enjoy. since this president has gone into office he has: eroded civil liberties, plunged the nation into trillions of dollars of debt, entangled our country into a dangerous war, destabilized the international community, etc.
btw, Micheal Moore is an egotistical fat worthless opportunistic pseudo-journalistic piece of shit You need to realize that if you insult people, you in turn will be insulted This post has been edited by Dr. Gonzo: Jan 13 2007, 01:50 AM -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. oh so i'm wrong? he didn't keep out weapons inspectors for 5 years against resolution? Fixed, a resolution is non binding legislation pased by the U.N. that effects member states. A treaty is simply a formal binding agreement between two or more states. This post has been edited by Dr. Gonzo: Jan 13 2007, 02:01 AM -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. A treaty is simply a formal binding agreement between two or more states. maybe when you hit wikipedia you should read all of the bullet points. here's the one you missed: QUOTE Under Article 25 of the Charter, UN member states are bound to carry out "decisions of the Security Council in accordance with the present Charter". It has been debated what kind of Security Council resolutions are covered by this provision, in particular whether it only covered Security Council resolutions adopted under Chapter VII of the UN Charter ("Action with Respect to Threats to the Peace, Breaches of the Peace, and Acts of Aggression").

Words can only be supported with force. Remember, the UN did not invade Iraq. Technically resolution are binding (as far as wording goes). Truthfully, however, the U.N. is not that powerful.

Yeah, Stalin killed millions of Russians. Not to mention the millions that died in Cambodia and Armenia...

you need to read more history. try reading about some of the shit that russia has done in the past. the holocaust is a cake walk compared to a few of the things they are guilty of. I have read history and I know what went on during the reign of Stalin; however to call the Holocaust "a cakewalk" in comparison is complete ignorance. Yes, most of the Jews were killed in gas chambers, etc, but on the other hand many died a way more gruesome death. Why dont you read a little bit of history. Trust me, Stalin was in the back of my mind when I said that the Holocaust was the most tragic modern event. Of course that can be argued. Everyone has their opinion, but you dont call the Holocaust a damn cakewalk. |

First off, I dont think we should be in Iraq. I have good friends and family over there fighting and they dont even think we should be there; HOWEVER I also realize that not a god damn thing can be done to change the fact that we invaded Iraq. The only thing we can do is hope that the people that we elect in the future have learned from this mistake. BITCHING about it will not solve it. Ok so people were justified in year one of the war in expressing their complaints. Year two: getting kind of old but whatever. Year three: SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY. WE KNOW. NO WMD'S. BLAH BLAH BLAH. LETS MOVE ON ALREADY. Secondly, enough about Bush already. That man cannot single-handedly bring down a country. Yes, the President has extensive veto powers, but his position is also very cerimonial. Almost everything that he does has to be backed up by either the courts or by Congress, HENCE the balance of powers. Finally, I do think that if the government has reasonable concerns about the motives and activities of a civillian that they they should monitor that person. Excuse me that I would rather be alive and enjoying life then dead because some radical Muslim decides to blow up a building or bring a gun on a plane. So what if the government monitors me? Dont give the government a reason to monitor you and they wont. Dont get involved in retarded shit that you shouldnt be involved with and you will be fine. Yes, I think that elected officials, the FBI, the CIA, policemen, etc abuse their powers at times...people are manipulative and are out to fulfill their own agendas; but as long as you are a citizen of this nation then you are subject to a fair and speedy trial. Its in the Bill of Rights. I do not think my rights are being violated if Im subjected to a little monitoring. My rights are everything that falls into "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Saying I sounded like a Nazi bitch was completely out of nowhere and ungrounded. I simply stated that your post sounded like a fucking quote out of Fahrenheit 9/11. Get your panties out of a wad. |

Wait, So even though the war is wrong and grounded on retarded motives we should not bitch about it? It is our duty as American citizens to criticize our government. We should not sit back and just allow this injustice to continue. After all, I don't want my tax dollars going to fight a war that can not be won.
Bush did not single handedly bring down the country. I do not think it was his abuse of power alone that has hurt this country. You have to factor in the republican controlled congress (before November) and the courts. I don't think the country is beyond repair, but our civil liberties have been greatly deteriorated because of the "war on terror", which in many ways is like the "war on drugs" and the "war on communism". Saying I was like Micheal moore was ungrounded. When did I mention US connections to Saudi Arabia? I simply stated WELL KNOWN and accepted fact. Everyone knows that the US had ties to Saddam in the Iranian war. -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this?
