and btw, no apple didn't introduce the mouse. To a mass consumer market, yes, yes they did. No one gave a crap what Xerox was doing (or Stanford's research division, Sun, Lisp Machines). Apple released the Lisa with a mouse and no one really noticed, it wasn't till 1984 with the Macintosh that people started using a mouse all of the time and as a main component of the machine. They may not have invented the mouse, but they did give it recognition and put it out there for people to use. I'm wrong semantically on who "introduced" the mouse to the computer world but damn right on who introduced it to mass users. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

Apple is being sued for trademark violations over this. Apparently, the name iPhone was already taken. I just heard this on the radio so I dont have a link.

Well originally this was settled with Cisco, but apparently yesterday they reneged... This will be interesting to watch. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |
