You have to gamble on the QB situation to an extent.
Did anybody watch that bumbling fuck last year backup Vince Young ? The Tech running game is already making some movement. They are lining up in different formations, and they are in fact running at times that people don't expect it. Keep in mind how many yards / carry Shannon Woods has. Hint, its over 6 It just needs a little more evolving, but that is already happening. Niggas need to step back and let next year unfold - we all knew that this year would be flakey from the get go with Harrell being new to starting, but then we got cocky, and now we are realizing what we knew at the beginning of the year. Next year is when we can honestly hope/expect an 8+ win season in the regular season then maybe a bowl win, and then Harrell's senior year, a 10 win season etc. Progression of the QB is going to be huge in a system like this, plus the new receivers next year will still take a bit of adjusting. Woods will be a monster, fear not. Lets just hope that Tech will eventually be putting up Hawai'i offense numbers, but against the better teams that they play. -------------------- QUOTE (Lance) now we have some dude from argentina wondering how to fuck dogmeat |

either that or you cant throw the whole team on the QB's back because what if he gets injured? You think the backup QB will be able to waltz right in and pickup where the other one left off? Not likely.... Case and point McCoy and Sneed. Your example is flawed as Jevan Snead lead Texas on five scoring drives against Kansas State. It was the Longhorn defense that cost them the victory, not the play of their back-up quarterback. Secondly, if you're going to scheme offensively around the possibility that one of your players is going to get injured then you have no reason being a coach. |

Texas scored 2 points above their year long average of Offensive output in Manhattan
I'm gonna go with, their Offense was just fine (even with the INT and fumbles) Letting Freeman run over them, that's the obvious failure. -------------------- QUOTE (Lance) now we have some dude from argentina wondering how to fuck dogmeat |

He's donecakes, he's gone. Looks like he'll be head coach and offensive coordinator -- shocker, I know -- and Randy Shannon will stay on as defensive coordinator.

Basically, Mike Leach has been in New York to attend a College Hall of Fame ceremony. He goes every year at this time, so this doesn't come as a surprise.
As Greg Schiano told Miami to go fuck themselves, the 'Cane President and Athletic Director reportedly met "informally" with Leach today at some point. It has also been reported that Randy Shannon, the current defensive coordinator at The U, was in attendance as well. According to several people who would know, it sounds as if Miami is basically pitching that the two of them team up. Leach would be head coach and fully control the offense while Shannon would have complete control over the defense. This shouldn't be an issue for Leach because he has always been oblivious to what happens on defense anyways. Leach's agent has been summoned to New York from his Minnesota home. I doubt that he was done so to have tea and cupcakes. Donecakes. |

how are you a reliable resource? not disagreeing with you, just curious. well i like how everyone says "i heard from a reliable source" or some crap. i dont believe it until i see it Leach leaves, then he leaves. if he stays, i will laugh because showing interest in something doesnt mean its gonna happen -------------------- ![]() |
