I still just laugh every time I hear the term "free energy".
That's basically like saying "free cocaine". It just doesn't exist

Dogmeat, "laws" and "theorems" in physics are only such because there aren't examples that contradict them. Newtonian physics was only valid until people started looking at the quantum level (though it remains a good approximation for macro-scale physics). Something similar may be the case for quantum physics one day...

Generally things in physics are unexplained until like 20 years later when people figure it out. For example they wondered why only 1/3 of the nutrinos(spelling?) were showing up in an experiment to determine if the number of nutrinos predicted to come out of the sun was correct. It took from from 1965 until 1999 to figure that out. Same thing with the orbit of mars back in the days of Galileo. There's always something that contradicts physics laws but then ends up being explained later.
