I you are that retarded to let go of the remote while moving it fast that it breaks the strap you deserve to have your TV broken.

On a related note: Sorry about your TV Jared.

and Impala: You really need to learn how to make an argument.

and with maybe slightly more testing nintendo could have figured out that something a little bulkier than that tiny digital camera spaghetti strand might have worked a little better as a "safety" strap. and omg it's so shocking to find out that video game system would get thrown around like a toy...

I don't recall ever having my xbox thrown around.

May be you should get some duck tape to tape your remote to your hand so you don't have to worry about breaking your TV.

i actually want a wii, thing is really innovative... although since i'm about to splurge on a $2500 TV i'll probably beef up the safety strap on the controller just to be safe wink.gif

the strap takes about 5 seconds to replace with a sturdier camera strap

and what dumbass is throwing that thing around hard enough to break it and then let go of it!....any of those games doesnt take much actual effort to make it work....i bowl with the flick of my wrist and do pretty damn good...same with tennis...i havent played zelda yet....I guess some people have a little too much testosterone and have way too much pent up anger?! who knows.

eric had to yank pretty damn hard (on purpose) to actually snap the little string things

Yah... You gotta be mentally retarded or physically inept to actually fuck up and let go while playing the Wii...

Do you see Tennis player's letting go of their racket while playing?

But also bear in mind that real sports equipment is a lot heavier than the Wiimote and requires more force to swing.

So, you're going to tell me that you will swing your Wiimote as hard as you would a baseball bat?

You're not going to have to. People who over exert it, let go of the damn thing, and then bitch about it should perhaps realize that it is their fault for putting som much force into it.

and bear in mind that people's hands get sweaty and are more careless while playing a video game.

it amazes me that you guys can't possibly concieve this happening. it's a game where you swing a plastic toy wildly through the air and you're this suprised that the thing goes flying occasionally?

I've had 30 minute long mock fights with light sabers where we were going full force hitting each other's lightsabers. However, neither of us ONCE let go of our lightsabers. Our hands were sweaty and we were also careless.

Here you are, playing with a wiimote, fit to your hand. You don't have to do wild actions for anything to be done. A flick of the wrist suffices (even if you're up and standing, a single, gentle wave of the arm for tennis or baseball).

If this happens, it's not Nintendo's fault. They give you ample warning and a safety feature. You shouldn't be swinging it so hard that it breaks the safety strap and hits your tv hard enough to crack it. Simple fact.
