Now you can pretend your Waggle is 400 feet long when you play with your Wii...

Fuck, maybe I got that backwards?

uhh... is there some kinda code you enter to differentiate your controller then? i happened to be on a corner with no house very close, but most people's TVs are probably within 400ft of their neighbor's TVs. this could be a bad thing

The way the Wiimote works is basically you have to tune it the specific Wii if you want to use it.

Basically, everytime you turn it on, you have to synch the Wii and the Wiimote together so you can use the Wiimote. This calibrates it and also makes it so there won't be any interference. You have to do this with each Wiimote you want to play with (you can synch/unsynch a wiimote anytime you want, but I believe whenever it's turned on, a Wiimote is synche so you can actually control the Wii).

Class 1 bluetooth devices have a 100 meter range, but depending on xmit rates and SNR's it could be better.

it uses IR and bluetooth together. there's videos on youtube explaining how each respective component works. the "sensor bar" is just two IR LEDs, and can be replaced by two scented candles, if you wish.

I bet the wii uses a really low datarate. That would allow alot of devices and a lower dB signal to be received. Only reason I assume this much is that I did my second senior project with bluetooth.
