Hey assuming I grab that S&W .357 mag, what kinda typical accessories and crap do I need to take care of/store it? nothing really. it comes with a hardshell case. you'd need tro pick up a pistol cleaning kit if you don't have one. and a holster (assuming you might carry it, say hunting or whatever). edit: unless you are a true-blue techsans.netter...then you'd need to purchase a high-speed laser... |

never shot a S&W .357, but I've put quite a few rounds through a S&W Model 689 .44 with a 6" barrel
And what's interesting is, it didn't make my penis bigger like everyone who shoots guns like that acts like it does

-------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

Not to mention that revolvers have a tendency to fail less (albeit most pistols are pretty good in terms of failure rates) than other pistols. You can also pull the empty barrel trick if a weapon gets taken away from you (have the first chamber empty, so when the weapon gets taken away from you, you have time to attack back, sort of thing) All in all, not a bad choice. m1911 FOR EVA \m/ -------------------- ![]() |

I believe it's a smaller frame than the smith or the ruger. I'm just curious, what do you like about the Taurus over the Smith? You got a handbag gun? handbag gun? All in all, not a bad choice. m1911 FOR EVA \m/ yeah I'll prob get a semi-auto some day, just figured this was a good all-around first handgun And what's interesting is, it didn't make my penis bigger like everyone who shoots guns like that acts like it does ![]() ok dogmeat so what gun could i have gotten that you wouldn't have said this about? |

why spend so much when a good pair of channel locks, some ammo and a hammer will do the trick?

I checked out the Trackers, just didn't quite feel right in my hand. I believe it's a smaller frame than the smith or the ruger. I'm just curious, what do you like about the Taurus over the Smith? well, i don't care for revolvers in general, guess it's just preferences on aiming. and i like that taurus because it's balanced on it's kick back. has a straight vertical profile on the recoil, where as several of my grandfathers revolvers always had a diagonal left or right kick back, which interefered with aiming my 2nd and subsequint shots. i also like the this firearm because it has a lower profile to the aiming compared to other revolvers. when i look down my arm with semi-auto, the barrel is only an inch or so above my index finger. with a revolver, it's about 2" sometimes 2 and a half. thats alot to compensate for when i aim. -------------------- |
