I know the story is old, but I hadn't heard anything about this until I read it in my men's health issue the other day. Pretty awesome stuff. First step into a "star trek" kind of food... i.e. it looks/smells/tastes like fried chicken & mashed potatoes but underneath it's really brocoli & carrots.

Interesting, but this part is BS:

QUOTE
Currently, the only way for humans to realize the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids is by taking dietary supplements or by eating certain types of fish that may also contain high levels of mercury.

There's also flax and other botanical sources.

Usually "dietary supplements" means pills. You can get Omega 3's from eating stuff made from flax or chia or hell, even hemp. I've made crackers with flax seeds, for instance.

How is this semantics? Is flax somehow less of a food than fish? By dietary supplements they're referring to pills of flax seed oil and fish oil that you find amidst the vitamins.

well i don't often see body builders throwing fish into the blender

either way, i doubt the people who wrote the article were trying to diss flaxseed or something. i think it'll be freakin sweet for them to figure out how to make foods that are bad for you good for you.

A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?
