This is the topic to post results, thoughts, predictions what have you.
-------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

I voted friday and am registered in abilene. This year this a proposition on the ballot to outlaw smoking in ALL public buildings, even bars. What do you guys think about this? I hope it fails personally. I can understand getting rid of smoking in places where you eat, but not in bars. People go to bars to drink and smoke. Give me a break. -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? restaurant/bar owner should make the decision... if they want to allow or disallow smoking that's their decision

Agreed. I don't like smelling smoke in a restaurant, but it's my choice on whether or not to patronize a place that doesn't have good separation between smoking and non-smoking areas. Outlaw smoking in government buildings, sure, but leave the decision up to the owners of private businesses.
Regarding the upcoming election, I don't even know if I'm going to vote. I know I SHOULD, but NM politics is so damn dirty (corruption and 95% smear campaigns) that it makes me sick. -------------------- |

if you're a non-smoker and you've ever been to a city with smoke free bars, though, it's 1000% better.
i don't care what they do because the smoking is expected, but to each his own. |

smoke free bars are %1000000000 better than not even if you ARE a smoker because then you can use that as an excuse to get a girl outside and talk to her one on one
and we all know women who smoke are easy in bed -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

I know I SHOULD, but NM politics is so damn dirty (corruption and 95% smear campaigns) that it makes me sick. That's what I never get is how if you ask any politician if that type of a campaign is a good or bad idea they always say it's a bad idea to run mudslinging campaigns that just point fingers and call names... but then they turn around and do them... -------------------- Forget regret
