i know the joke thread about pro sports rules. glad to see no one has a sense of humor. what is the other one?

The other one was split off from somebody's rules thread (maybe Jessica's?). It shows up as being "your" thread because the first post split off was yours.

I can kind of see where the problem lies. and as far as the B/S/T forum goes, all of done is remove comments that don't have to do with the product being sold.

I guess if I try to recap what TTULow's deleted news article says it gets deleted? I sited him as my source, so what's wrong with that?

And if nobody saw the thread I'm talking about, he posted a news article about Three 6 Mafia performing on the Academy Awards Sunday night and at the bottom it said "Source: The internet"

It was great so when I went to compliment him on his source it wouldn't let me post because it was already deleted.

It seems to me that most of the people bitching about the mods seem to be upset that they aren't mods themselves. If you actually look at the amount of modding going on, with the exception of TTULow2's threads, it's next to none. I know I've done nothing but pin topics in the computes section, the only place I have authority. Same goes (i'm sure) for the health/fitness, LRAR, Academics, Sports, Local/Campus Events, Pro sports doesn't even HAVE a mod... so if you look at it, really the only mods that matter are the 3 global mods (not an unreasonable number) and the off-topic, News, and entertainment mods. (3 more mods, 1 per forum to assist when a Global mod isn't around.)

so really you have like 3 global mods, not unreasonable, and 3 regular mods that typically have anything to do.


I hardly think that's unreasonable. Quit whining.

edit: also, having individual forum mods makes it easier on the global mods because the global mods don't have to read EVERY post made on the entire forum to check them, it's a lot easier for the local mods to just read the new posts in their own forums.

In my time as a mod and admin (about 2 years total), I've probably only seen 2 "reported" posts. Sure, if we hyped the report button, people MIGHT use it, but I dunno.

Yeah, Techsans has more mods than it needs. But if 1) they don't abuse their power and 2) there aren't power struggles as a result, does it really matter? Most of that which happened in the first few days of people being mods has gotten ironed out, either behind the scenes or otherwise.
