I'm not a rick perry fan but he is pretty savvy when it comes to campaigning. Here are two ads that stood out to me.

Chuck Norris ad:
http://www.rickperry.org/audio/RP-ChuckNorris.mp3

Hes smart to ride the popularity of Norris.

Way Too Liberal Ad:
http://www.rickperry.org/audio/MrWayTooLiberal.mp3

My favorite part of this ad is the French part.

Hopefully he doesn't get reelected again. But sadly it looks like all his opposition is going to be split between 4 other candidates. We need to realize that splitting the opposition helps perry and lay our pride aside and just get one powerful candidate to run against him.

Thank you. I'm at the point where I'm almost just angry about this Kinky shit. I know having lots of choices and people who can just run (if they are super rich) is what it's supposedly all about but when it comes to making important changes... come on

It seems like the kinky shit is almost to the point of it being a fad. "It's cool to vote for kinky... eventhough i have no fucking clue of what he's all about or the rammifications of my choice"
Not saying everyone is like that but i could name some
and that makes politics even more of a stupid silly game than it really is

I don't have anything against Kinky (not in Texas this year, so I haven't learned much about him), but I find it funny that even some New Mexicans have the "He's not Kinky, he's my governor" bumper stickers on their cars.

I wouldn't worry too much about Kinky's effect on the election, though. If anything, I think candidates like him draw in new voters rather than taking the votes of people who vote regularly.

I would disagree, I know alot of democrats and republicans that are voting for kinky now. All kinky is doing is helping Perry win.

I know back about month ago Bell told Kinky if he was serious about defeating Perry then they should join forces. too bad this didn't happen. I think a Kinky/Bell team could be a serious contender for governor. And you would have Kinky with an outsiders view balanced with Bell who would keep Kinky from doing anything too crazy.

YAY for the ignorance abound in our democracy!

That's right everyone: let's berate those that vote for 3rd parties as ALL simply fad-followers. Heaven forbid some people are actually voting in favor of a non-traditional party cadidate because they have the most similarities in opinion on the issues.

I'm not berating 3rd party candidates. I'm actually excited that there are people fed up enough with the state of our state right now and have to drive to change things. My criticism is that if they really wanted to oust Perry then they should unify. Splitting the vote between 2 independents, a democrat, and then several other smaller party candidates isn't going to help us come Nov. 7. I hope that even if Perry is elected that Kinky, Grandma, and Bell will still try to influence our govt and get the changes rolling.

And Zach alot of people criticize Kinky followers for the same reason they criticize UT fans. There are people out there who thinks he has a cool name and don't know much about his platform and call themselves kinky supporters just like there are people who wear longhorn shirts b/c they won the championship but couldn't name the starting qb.

or how about the matthew mcconaughey for governor ad in the new study breaks?

maybe gary coleman could join the race, too.
