im running the adaptec model that they sell at CompUSA, cost around 35-39 bucks (Cant remember exact price) it is a bootable card, has 2 SATA ports on the card w/support for up to 4 devices

I have a Promise FastTrak TX2300 SATAII. Has Raid 0/1 and had no probs installing a drive on it as a boot up drive.
