and how is that Apple's Fault, maybe if creative would throw around a few advertisements here and there they would become a tad bit more popular with the regular joe.

I'm fine with people paying more for less, I just said I don't see other companys advertising.

My store closed forever, they built a new one that we just opened today. Well the old one still had a ton of books in it and, well, for the Mass Market Paperback books, the return procedure is to strip the cover off and "throw away" the book to save on shipping. And sence all the books are going to be returned...well...its a nice fucking perk.

Every Steven King Book
Every Robert Ludlum Book
Every Tom Clancy Book
Every Grisham Book
(every book in the store that is)
Issac Asmoz
Tolken
A few bartending books
Some Romance stuff for my mom
A copy of every dictionary
And some random stuff.

(oh and I'll never read those l.ron hubbard books, I just told myself I'd never pay for them, probably end up burning them)

wow that looks like you could bring in quite the motherlode at a used bookstore...quite an exquisite collection of modern american junkfood.

only like two of those aren't complete shit (asimov and tolkien)

how tired is it to hear people give ipods and apple such a rough time. for what? having a quality product and excecuting an original marketing plan? I dicked around with other players and quite frankly none of them had as friendly an interface for an idiot like me. oh and I have a macbook too (OMG what a marketing robot!)

people who are anti-apple for the sake of being anti-anti-conformist (wtf?), are just as silly as all these kids who hate burton s.boards. burton invented the sport, have the best R&D and gear out there, and have been doing it the longest. hate on it all you want...you'll just end up looking silly. terje, craig kelly, shawn white, ad nauseum don't ride for them because they suck. well kelly doesn't ride for anyone RIP, but I digress...

for those people who want to really be hip, I have a yellow sony "sports" walkman and about 2,000 cassettes of rad ass (no shit) music I'll let you have for less than an ipod. then you can really be hip.

A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

The iPod would be cooler if :

- It wasn't overpriced (everything gets markup, but when an apple sales rep goes into a conversation with a friend of how they cost about 50 bucks to make and sell for 300, etc...)
- You weren't forced to use iTunes rather than just a nice, drag and drop access (minus loading Rockbox or some shit)
- most people i've known who owned iPods didn't have to get them replaced at least once within 1-2 years. (my biggest reason)
- They didn't turn around and update it so often. Do people not realize that Apple products are "upgraded" so often, therefore they get even more of your money ? The avg lifetime of a Mac isn't as long as a PC, and Mac users are more willing to just buy a completely new machine. $$$

However, the Nanos look really nice. Indestructable, and everybody I know who owns one is happy with it. Could be worth the money.

side note : My sister did one of those dancing shadow ad tryouts, she was the backup. That would have been money.
