i dont blame just Graham. Leach's play calls are stupid! When a defense starts figuring out that you quick pass and never throw it long, they play tight and tackle quickly. And actually, the only time we threw long, it was intercepted. Our running game blows because our offensive line blows. We suck altogether and have a chance to lose every game from here on out. Truthfully, we are a great team that doesnt live up to its potential

Tech's entire offensive strategy needs to change in order for them to start winning some games. If anything, I think they should get rid of Leach. He spent too much time developing a shitty offense that is finally being found out.

I don't think leach is the problem, all you have to do is look at the past seasons where he has been a coach. lets also remember that in the not so distant past 3 or 4 losses a season was normal for tech not to say that it should be tolerated or an excuse for what happened on homecoming or last saturday. I think they should maybe try out a few other QB's and see what happens. Hell it could not hurt right?

Having an offense that is figured out really isn't an issue at all. If you watch any team play, it doesn't take long to figure out what they are going to do.
UT has 1 running play it seems. Let's all block one direction, and let the back either follow it, or do something ZANY like cut the other direction, opposite of the blocks !!!!!!!!!!! groundbreaking. It works (when it works....people are figuring it out rather easily recently. Just have the DE stay home) not generally because the defense is blown away by a witty play - but because everybody executes properly. Just because you know what is going to happen doesn't mean that will make up for a better athlete straight up burning you. Confusing plays are a bonus, but when it comes down to it, 11 people doing their job correctly is how you win. If Harrell doesn't evaluate the defense and then make the right decision to throw to the right person - at the right time, this is what happens. Interceptions and incompletions are a calculated risk with this kind of "pass happy" offense. But really it is asking for the whole team to be spot on. A good pass isn't shit if the receiver isn't going to catch it. 5 open receivers don't mean shit if the QB can't make a clean throw. It may be worth letting Todd control some series next week against Iowa St. I wouldn't start him against UT or anything over Harrell, but it would be nice to make him a little more comfortable and experienced, in case he does need to come in for that game. -------------------- QUOTE (Lance) now we have some dude from argentina wondering how to fuck dogmeat |

Any offense strategy is just a strategy. Even if you figure it out, you may have an advantage, but the players on both sides need to execute. Which Tech isn't doing. GH doesn't scan the field, which leads to staring down the recievers too much, his throws float, he gets frustrated easily. For the past few years he's basically been told by eveyone that he's going to the best QB to ever leave TTU, now's he's realizing it isn't something that's given, it's earned. He has a hard time handeling pressure, he can't scramble for shit, it's like he panics when the pocket collapses. IMO, i think GH should have pulled himself from a drive or two in the Mizzou/CU game instad of having Leach do so. -------------------- |

Isn't it because half our team are either freshman or sophomores?
