But, if I go to grad school, I bet that would improve my chances of getting on with a company I wanna get on with. Case in point, I didn't spend 5 years of my life working for this degree to work the SAME job I got offered 7 years ago right after I graduated highschool.....quite literally.....heh

The only issue is that your GPA may hold you back from grad school as well. I don't know what your GPA is, but if it's low you'd better score damn well on the GRE if you want to be considered for grad school. And go somewhere other than Tech if you can. TTU may have a good undergraduate ME program, but the grad program is severely lacking. That having been said, the math portion of the GRE (the part that really matters for us) is ridiculously easy. My first semester here is debilitating, most grad schools I've looked at (not TTU ME at all, I'm gonna switch over to PE if I do this) say they consider mainly your grades on your last 30 hours of coursework, in which case i'm in like flynn ... I've done pretty well the last year with one exception (french class  ) , it's just the first semester I was here especially really killed my cum. GPA I am also pretty well gonna go back to the University of Wyoming if I go to grad school to their PE department because it's new and they are looking for people to build the program so it'll probably be easier there than somewhere else maybe.....heh It's just that paying for it is gonna be a bitch

i really really want to go back to school. i just dont want to go to UT. I hate their campus. I will totally give Tech the nice campus advantage. I want to go somewhere in the northeast....away from fucking Texas. Im so sick of living in Texas. but out of state tuition is a butt fucker.....

Try to get an assistantship (teaching or research). Not only will that reduce your tuition to the in-state level, most assistantships include a complete tuition waiver so you only have to pay for your books.

Debt is ok as far as college goes imo, it is a good investment. Try getting a good job if you just graduate high school....

What if both your parents graduated from the University you're looking at going to? Don't most schools give you in-state tuition in that case? Actually if I went to UW I still have a valid Wyoming driver's license, so if I put Wyoming plates back on my truck I could claim I never even left
