Check the forum descriptions, a few of them have changed. Like the entertainment forum.

Move anything that has to do with music, movies, video games, or tv into that forum.

Except for flash games people post, you can move those to off-topic.

i was thinking we could move the videogames stuff to the nerdery, if only to drive up the traffic in that section...

the entertainment forum has less threads than the nerdery though, the entertainment forum is the one that needs the video game threads

i did a whole bunch of sorting today at work

also, for buy/sell/trade i know when something is sold we used to move the thread to /dev/null

instead from now on just lock the topic once something is sold and leave it in buy/sell/trade

wouldnt it be more efficient to move everything that isnt off-topic back to its appropriate forum and then mass move off-topic.... or is that not possible. i dont know how invision works, but if that can be done, it might be faster

nah not really, because then the off-topic ones would stay at the top, making it a pain in the ass to deal with... not really a problem, but neither is the other way.

pick your poison

I'm thinking we need to invite more people into the sorting... if we don't get the forum back up quick enough people won't come back.

(i've seen it happen before)

Lance, I thought you were going to put the forum back up last night and let us continue sorting in the background. What happened?

That was the plan. Here's what's holding things up though so you guys know.

1. I'm trying to get my host to resolve an issue with mysqldump so I can backup the current DB before I upgrade. Right now he doesn't have the right permissions set for me to use mysqldump.

2. Invision Board's pay with paypal link on their website is broken, so I contacted customer service and they told me to just send the money directly to them. So then I opened another support ticket asking them if I do it that way then where/when do I get the software? Waiting for a reply from them...
