they did an experiment where they had two clocks set to the same time, put one in one of those ridiculously fast jets and when it returned to earth it was 1 second ahead of the earth-ground clock
it was in the news awhile back because it just gave more credence to Einstein’s relativity |

they used those super accurate stratum 1 timing devices, i forget if it was a cesium beam or a hydrogen maser though
probably cesium since it's hundreds of thousands of dollars cheaper |
