Well, according to this slate article, there's some interesting things in play for the 2006 election.
First of all, it appears the Senate is going to narrowly go to the Republicans, albeit with the Dems picking up a lot of momentum. The house is up in the air. A gallup poll shows the House pretty much split down the middle, while various other polls show that the Dems will win the house, but they disagree on how much. I see at least one chamber going Democratic this November.
The House will more than likely be said chamber. I'm not entirely sure what the margin will be, but I think it'll be more than 5-10 in favor of the Dems. The Senate will either return to a 50 Rep, 49 Dem, 1 Independent scenario or it will be very close to that (more than likely with a couple more old stock Rep. spots). im going to vote democratic for the senate and republican for the house
just so i can throw in my vote to sway it the opposite direction of what is projected politics in this day and age seem to be pretty pointless in the US anyways. just a bunch of bitching back and forth over minor details that they somehow convey as being HUGE DIFFERENCES (great example is the arguing on these boards). |
