As in, how difficult are they to set up? I wanna get me an external hard drive, but I the prices of already-put-together drives are fairly steep. Is it very difficult to purchase an interal drive and a hard drive enclosure and throw them together? Anybody ever had any experience with this?

It's not hard at all. Just make sure that the enclsore's interface matches the harddrives (SATA, IDE, etc).

You basically just plug the harddrive into the enclosure and plug the USB/Firewire into the comp. smile.gif

Nice. This prolly doesn't matter so much, but do either of you know of any good "brands" of hard drive enclosures? I'm thinking the ones I'm looking at are prolly going to be SATA, if that's any help
