No day but today... Group: Members Posts: 773 Joined: 22-February 06 Member No.: 5  |
So they announced the times for the different schools to graduate. On the mass comm site, it's only scheduled on the calendar from 9am - 10am but something tells me it lasts a lot longer than that. Anyone here that already graduated remember how long your commencement took? There are four colleges graduating at my time, so I really doubt each college only takes 15 minutes to name all their students...
Also, does anyone know if restaurants take reservations for lunch/dinner on graduation day? We have about a group of 15 so I'd like to make reservations as opposed to having to wait for them to find a big enough table but I know that not many places take Valentine's reservations so I wanna make sure. -------------------- Forget regret

The commencement itself took about 2 hrs, but we had to show up about an hour beforehand. Plus afterwards you have to troop on over to your college office to get your actual diploma.
A lot of places don't take reservations, but some do. Just call around and ask. We ate at Chez Suzette for my graduation dinner. -------------------- |

i walked cause it's something i felt need to be done for myself. it was always, 'damn i can't wait til i walk knowing i finished college'. it was boring as fuck, but i'd do it again

I guess ceremonial celebrations aren't all that important to me. I'd rather not walk, but I'm in the same boat as dogmeat.

I walked for my B.S. because I knew my mother would be pissed if I didn't. No threats to write me out of her will or anything, but that wouldn't have bothered me... I've told her to will her crap to someone else, someone who won't just sell it all, and she refuses ("nobody else to give it to").

I didn't walk and there was nothing my parents could do about it. They live 500+ miles away and they were busy with my other brother graduating high school (which is a huge accomplishment for him)
