This has got to be one of the saddest articles I have ever read.

this isnt that rare of an occurance but the fact that it sounds like she killed the woman thinking she'd be able to get the baby alive and keep it is totally pointless. just doesnt work that way, pointless murders

I think the nature of the murder is odd. I mean, what compells a woman to not only kill a mother and rip the fetus out of her stomach, but also to kill her 3 children and put them in the washer and dryer? I mean, seeing as how she told police where the children were, Im pretty sure she is guilty of killing them too. Why?
What made the Andrea Yates case so high profile? The backstory of why she killed them. I could see this becoming a high profile case based on her defense strategy. You know, I sympathized with Andrea Yates for some reason. I mean, she was obviously mentally ill for a while and needed help. One day, she just snapped. I have a feeling this woman will attempt an insanity plea as well, but it wont work. This seemed way too thought out and planned from the little I read about it. |

i imagine the reason the woman did this is to take away all of her children...

well, it was a major ground-breaking case for the whole post post-pardon depression illness. I think that got it more media attention than anything.
