Ok, so far all the games I've tried on my 360 are:

Call of Duty 2
The Outfit
Perfect Dark Zero
Oblivion
NHL2K6
NCAA Football 2007
99 Nights
Prey
Dead Rising

Of that list of games, the only ones that were worth a flying fuck in any way shape or form were NHL2K6 and NCAA Football 2007, and the only ones that were actually "good" were Oblivion, COD2, and Dead Rising.

But I don't really count sports games because those have essentially not changed hardley at all in the last 10 years ....

But, the rest of them my thoughts remain the same: They are very very very poor quality games.

I did not spend $60 on a game to beat it in 8 hours of game play then play it over and over and over and over and over again with the hitpoints and damages scaled down so as to "make it more difficult".....Games with this strategy are not more difficult, they are just more annoying and worthless....

I don't understand why in the hell game developers continually make such shitty games these days. Everyone keeps talking about how the development time and costs of producing a game are skyrocketing due to having to hire extra artists and programmers, but my question is: How does this effect the design of gameplay?

Personally I would rather play a game that has an engaging plot and consistent gameplay which also has les snazzy graphics than one which is essentially nothing but an "oooh and aaaah" visual package.

I mean really, I bought a 360 because I saw the writing on the wall for PC games in the last several years as the quality of PC games was dwindling as well ....

I mean really what is going on here? The Xbox 360 has been out for nearly a year now and the amount of good quality games available for it doesn't even number in the double digits, if that ....

So what do consumers have to do to start gettin games that actually stimulate us instead of just babysit us?

Note: I've also played demos for most games avaialble and they appeared to be pretty crappy too I just didnt list a lot of them

The 360 is still a relatively new system. Give it some time and it'll get a decent library.

all decent and creative games that will ever be made have already been made, we've exhausted the well of creativity

you need to search for a pattern in pi to find the next original video game

I'm honestly beginning to thin Nintendo had the right idea coming out with something new and fun.

I'm completley sick and tired of playing the same shitty ass games no matter how snazzy the graphics are.

That sports package game that comes with the Wii is supposed to be amazingly fun just because it gets you involved physically.

I think that's where nintendo will win.

Dude, you're just coming across what we've known for a while; that is to say that creativity is pretty much taking a plummet in the game industry, there ain't much new that's happening. I think Nintendo was pretty right on when they said that Microsoft and Sony will just keep doing what they've always done, and that ain't good for the industry. Makes a lotta sense, you gotta innovate to keep things going. Welcome to the party, though =o

Also, did you buy these games, or just rent/demo them?

The ones I listed I bought, but I've also downloaded almost every demo I could off Xbox Live ...

Honestly I'm gonna be really interested to see what Nintendo comes up with.

With the complete lack of innovation in the games on Sony and MS systems Nintendo could really knock them both out of the park if they'd just make games that were innovative.

Let's hope they do smile.gif

Well, once that happens, you can have video game sex. I think that in and of itself would tide people over for a good 50 years.
