I think that the Big 12 in general is just crappy this season. A&M looked awful last night, Missouri barely pulled through, Nebraska was brought into reality, Iowa State looked good at first but then sucked, Texas played Rice so we didn't really see anything besides an ass-whooping, Oklahoma lost even if was because of bad calls, Baylor lost to Washington State, and both Kansas teams looked bad.

Jessica, when did Tech fans think we could compete with teams like Notre Dame?
We are a good team in the Big XII, but outside that, we suck. We would do shitty if we were in the ACC, SEC, BIG 10.... but we are students at Tech, and we try to have a fan base because its boring to do nothing here in Lubbock. If anyone knows anything about football, they see we are good team in some areas, sometimes we get lucky, and sometimes we blow. If I was a student at Oklahoma or UT or A&M, I would try to like my team, whether they suck or not because thats called not being a stuck up bitch! --------------------  |

showing support for a team is way different than having an unrealistic outlook on the team's capabilities. Again, this is pointed at the facebook group that i cant for the life of me remember what it is called. Its about how UT is such a shitty team and there is no way that Tech will lose. Ok, yeah Im not impressed with UT's passing game at all, but REALITY CHECK: UT will most likely win.
In other news: yes very shitty calls with the Oregon OU game, but damn was I glad the DUCKS won. Notre Dame played like shit. Brady Quinn has a nasty pimple on his nose. God damn, USC's quarterback Booty is acurate. I like him. I think he has a lot of potential and I sniff a heisman for him next year if he progresses as he should. Thats all I can remember right now. |

I don't know if you are just tryin poke fun - but honestly she watches games here at my house, and while Will is usually here, she has all of her own input. We've watched games when he wasn't even here and she is making commentary etc and claiming hot sports opinions indepedent of his.

I don't see why people are talking up the Big 10 & SEC... they're not doing that much greater than the big 12...
Big 12 Overall: 25-11 (.694) Road: 4-7 Ranked: 0-7 Road Ranked: 0-5 Top 10: 0-2 Big 10 Overall: 27-6 (.818) Road: 7-3 Ranked: 2-2 Road Ranked: 2-2 Top 10: 2-2 SEC Overall: 23-13 (.638) Road: 5-7 Ranked: 3-7 Road Ranked: 1-3 Top 10: 2-4 Obviously the Big 10 is doing better than us and the SEC, but not by that much. The SEC has played 10 ranked teams and Big 12 has played 7, while the Big 10 has only played 4. The Big 10 has a bunch of ranked games next week so we'll see how these numbers look this time next week

lol but ACC, SEC, and BIG 10 teams are having to play each other and Notre Dame instead of I-AA teams.
what have we been watching the first 3 weeks? Clemson, Florida, Miami, FSU, etc all playing each other so sooner or later, their conference has to suffer. I dont judge Big XII by win/loss ratio. I judge by which teams we play and who's losing -------------------- |
