QUOTE (cmac @ Feb 23 2006, 12:57 AM) how is WOW different for warcraft? different from? even if you already know, this is a good question for non-wowerz warcraft 1-3, are aerial viewed strategy games where you command troops and such and have no real permanence on-line. The only real measurable progress was in the story part of the game that you would play by yourself completing different objectives. world of warcraft (or WoW) is a Mass Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG). In this game there are several realms, or servers, which host similar games, however your character is only saved to one server. The gameplay on here requires much more time and dedication for advancement. The average time for a player to reach level 60 (the current cap) is about 2 weeks of PLAYED TIME. After this, there are endless runs in a number of endgame instances hoping to get one small fraction of epic gear. This makes the game based much more around team work and communal attitudes. And of course, this game continues the original warcraft story. For more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_of_warcraft www.worldofwarcraft.com wow = over 5.5 million players worldwide.
