Here's what happened: Harrell threw like shit. One pass he threw it on the wrong side of Woods when he was like 5 yards away. He was also overthrowing the ball and leading the receivers into an asswhooping when they tried to catch it. A good example of that was when robert johnson got the shit knocked out of him because he was going head first for the ball because it was so overthrown. Also no one was picking up the rusher coming in from the blind side. Harrell got blind sided at least twice, resulting in two fumbles.

there were at least THREE times in the second half where a reciever got two hands on a ball and didn't catch it in 3rd/4th down situations.
i'll admit graham didn't have that great of a day, but you can't put it all on him (or leach) |

For all of you guys calling for Leach to replace Harrell with Todd: get a grip.
Pretty much every quarterback, regardless of school or experience, has a bad game now and then. Harrell is a third-year sophomore quarterback who has only started three games. I'm not saying he was spectacular, far from it, but to dump this loss entirely on his shoulders is asinine and to call for Todd to replace him proves how little you know. Keep in mind that Texas Tech threw 47 passes against TCU; nine of which hit the hands of their intended receivers and dropped. For all of you math majors out there, that's nearly 20%. Are there problems that need to be solved? Sure, but to advocate firing Leach because he lost on the road to a favored team (TCU was favored by one at kick-off) is ludicrous considering how relatively successful he has been in his six years here. |

They might have hit their hands but the balls were floating and by the time they were going to catch them a lot of the time they were about to get slaughtered. |

The problem is that this wasn't Harrell's first bad game. UTEP wasn't much better. Other than that, I agree with everything you said. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

If completing 40 of 52 passes (76.9%) for 376 yards and two touchdowns to just one interception off of a tipped pass is considered a bad game, I would very much like to know what it takes to be considered a good game.

Kingsbury or Cumbie numbers... ![]() A win is a win, we just looked like crap against UTEP, just like we did against TCU. If this is Harrell's worst game of the season, I'll be happy. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

Yeah, I've taken this thread personally, riiiiight. ![]() My apologies for dispensing some knowledge, it'll never happen again. Please, by all means, continue to clamor ignorantly for the back-up quarterback and a coaching change. |
