New flight restrictions were issued following an alleged terror plot.
In addition, Continental, Delta, Northwest and United advised passengers to arrive three hours early for flights. The new rules include: • No liquids or gels of any kind in carry-on baggage. The items must be in checked luggage. They include all beverages, shampoo, sun tan lotion, creams, toothpaste, and hair gel. • Baby formula and medicines are exempt from the ban, but must be presented for inspection. • All flights from the United Kingdom must send passenger information for intensive screening before departure. I remember having a hell of a time going through security when my family visited my grandparents in Virginia. They scanned my backpack 3 times in the xray machine and then bomb wanded it just because of my camera and camera lenses.
At Norfolk they took apart my camera and camera bag to ensure there weren't any dangerous devices. -------------------- "Ah, y'know it's funny, these people they go to sleep, they think everything's fine, everything's good. They wake up the next day and they're on fire."
