My dad called this morning to tell me that they heard the explosion in Childress County...that's at least a two hour drive away. He must have damn good ears. I didn't hear a flippin' thing.

I heard it, but it didn't sound like an explosion. Sounded like a loud pop.

Earlier it was just a message. Now that I've talked to him, we have determined that it wasn't the propane explosion he heard but instead it was a sonic boom. Some military pilot was having some fun over my hometown...that or there was an emergency of some kind.

one of those bbq grill propane tanks was launched through his brick wall, and bounced off some machinery, and another was lodged halfway through the wall in another area.
