CNN seems biased to me. Israel is targeting military targers and Hezbollah just shoots rockets. Israel is fucked because its their govt versus a militia that is not an official govt.

If mexicans were shooting rockets into el paso, the mexican government would stop them. If not the US would stop it. The government of Lebanon has not stopped Hezbullah from incursions into Israel. America should tell Israel pubically that we want an immediate ceasefire, but support them. Its what clinton did and works ok.

We look at them and see "Government of Lebanon" ... they look at themselves and dont see "Government of Lebanon", they see Shia, Sunni, Christian, Muslim, etc ... do you understand the difference?

It is the middle east. Israel is a democracy, there are arab isralies. I know they see it differently then we do, but that is obvious. What solution do you propose?

If i had one that would work, i probably would not still be an undergrad. People need to stop thinking that Lebanon is capable of defending itself from Hezbullah. The "enemy of my enemy is my friend" applies here, anyone who speaks out against hezbullah would be in support of Isreal/USA ... you get stoned by a mob. Even if they dont like Hezbullah, they cannot speak out against them, as a government or on the streets. Isreal is doing what Lebanon cannot do itself ... it just happens to be on Lebanese soil and that is the only part they dont like. There is no way to move the front without an invasion force.


The only thing that would work is occupation, worked wonders for Japan, but no american government would go for it.

I've been saying this shit forever...But I stopped using it when I got the "Go America" response from it, you know "That would never happen because America is so great and mexico would never do/has never done that."

If america was attacked we would go fight. In fact on 9/11 two major towers fell, so we destroyed afganistan and occupied Iraq. So two towers for two countries.

If we yell at Israel for the same shit america does then that makes us even bigger hyporcrates than we already are.
